You are the one, who can heal Diabetes

Short introduction

Who we are

Please give me five minutes to introduce myself. My name is Alex. My lovely wife Sarah and I, we founded a company in 2012 to fight against Diabetes. We developed an internet-platform and smartphone apps to collect body values and lifestyle parameters. The purpose behind is to interpret these data and give feedback to users. Based on that feedback they`re able to adjust their blood glucose to a lower level. In the best case without medicine. During the last six years we learned a lot about Diabetes and we are able to support you to better things instead of being confronted with heavy subsequent events of this disease.

Over one year ago we met John Mendy who gave us the information, that John Jabang is also affected by Diabetes. So we decide to handover information via Skype to The Gambia. After receiving the first information he began to see how he could push back the Diabetes. After some more he was convinced that he`s able to fight against. I hope in the meantime John is taking heart that he definitely overcome Diabetes!

To be frank, we are talking about a clear "it´s your decision!". I can give advice but not operate it in your daily routines. If you wanna start to change your live, highly welcome. If not, it`s up to you. To give you a perfect knowledge base, I´ll provide you some insights.

 

What is Diabetes?

Not sure what you know about this disease. But in case of potential lacks, I will summarize some information in understandable words to show you the big chance you´ll have. Although you are confronted with a type 2 diagnosis.

In your case, the diagnosed diabetes has two sides. A risk and a chance

  1. diabetes has a lethal effect but
  2. diabetes could be healed, if you act consequently

From a medical standpoint, every doctor will tell you, that diabetes is a chronical disease and terminally ill. A lot of doctors around the world are influenced by the pharmaceutical industry. Some of them are not interested in healing diabetes. No diabetes, no pills needed. This will interrupt revenue dramatically. For doctors and pharma …

My observation shows me another picture. This is why I have to explain it a little bit to set the ground for your understanding. Your body regulates, based on several hormonal balances, your metabolic system. As long you are in a “normal” range, this system operates reliable and keep you healthy. Therefore all “ingredients” of your daily life must be balanced. If one parameter is out of range, your metabolic system will collapse over time. For example, diabetes or hypertension arise.

Diabetes means, that the insulin level in your body is too low. There are four potential reasons for that:

  1. pancreas is damaged and no longer able to produce insulin (only type 1 diabetes)
  2. pancreas is diseased and is producing to less insulin (type 2)
  3. insulin sensitivity of body cells is to less, altough enough insulin is produced, your body isn`t able to work with it (type 2)
  4. body has too much volume, so that pancreas isn`t able to produce enough insulin to provide all cells with this needed hormone (type 2)

You have, for the moment to accept, that your pancreas is always working in the highest potential “speed range” and is permanently stressed. But you can reduce the stress level over time and provide your pancreas a chance to regenerate.

 

Important to know

Carbohydrates are fast available energy for your body. If this kind of energy is in your body, the regulation will be handled by insulin production.

Your pancreas has to work, whenever carbohydrates joining your body. The more you consume the insulin production will increase and the stress level too. Based on that knowledge you have four potential options:

  1. increase medicine over time to lower blood glucose
  2. lower consumption of carbohydrates from meals and drinks
  3. increase “burning” of energy out of carbohydrates
  4. lower your body weight

 

Taking medicine?

Seems to be the easiest way. But I can tell you, you have to pay a very high price for it. The medicine is expensive and it will only correct symptoms but never the root causes. This is like giving a man water against his thirst (one time) versus building a well to lower level of thirst forever. Naturally medicine could lower your blood glucose based on chemical processes but therefore it will damage liver, kidney and your heart midterm. My opinion? Hands off over time. Proof to phase out it so soon as possible. You will get some additional information how to get able to do this.

But as long it`s needed, take it accurately! Please start to phase out when the blood glucose is in a better shape. So (only) after you proved that the plans are effective, not before!

 

Perfect actions

The easiest way to decrease your blood glucose level is to restrict the volume of carbohydrates. The less you take, the less the level would be. But never think about to avoid it permanently, only to decrease and take it at the right time. I´m not really sure what you are able to eat every day. So, take it as an idea not as “truth”.

 

Avoid Sugar

Most volume of sugar is in sweets and soft-drinks. If Coke or lemonade are in your mind, forget to drink this kind of drinks forever. Take only water, coffee and tea. Some diabetics think fruits are much healthier than other nutrition. But be aware that in fruits is fructose, what has the same effect than glucose. So, take only one or max. two pieces of fruits a day and replace it better by vegetables.

 

Carbohydrates, the better ones

Most food in Europe is made out of wheat flour. Clear, it`s cheap and available. But the energy density is much too high for our body. Have a look for potential meals where rice is the key ingredient or soya instead of wheat products. Be aware that beans are often assumed as low-carb meal, but the carbohydrate-share of beans is 63%!!!

 

Replace carbohydrates

When you are in the situation to do that, exchange a part of your “carbohydrate-based” nutrition in hot meals with vegetables. Vegetables have a low energy level, of that you could potentially as much eat as you can, from a medical perspective.

 

The right time

Provide carbohydrates your body, only when energy is needed. So, what should it mean. You can take carbohydrates more in the morning or around noon when you take a lunch. In the evening, when you`re sleeping after, the energy out of carbohydrates will overlap. A lot of energy in your body and nothing to do. Think about …

 

Fish instead of meat

Fish contains less fat than pork and is very healthy. Choose as much fish as you can and replace meat as often as possible. I hope for everyone, that meat or fish is in your reach once in a while.

 

About nutrition

The minimum information you need is that fibres are good for your body and they make you “full up” for longer time. So those help you to eat less. In parallel this food has lower impact on your blood glucose. The higher the share of fibres, the better for your blood glucose

Protein is the “food” for your muscles. If you make more sports, protein will help to build them up. And protein has zero influence on your blood glucose. From a diabetes perspective you could eat as much as you want! Nutrition Diabetes

Out of that table you should have an overview to select the better goods:

The only way to lose weight is to lower the total number of calories per day and in parallel to burn more calories with a higher level of physical activities. You can name it sports or exercise;-)

Carbohydrates

Be aware, your body need carbohydrates to feel “to be filled”. Otherwise you feel hungry. The crux is that this food is the only negative impact on your blood glucose. For this reason you have to lower this food but you can`t avoid it in total. That`s why you have to

  1. eat meals with “components” with low carbohydrates level
  2. mix it with other goods (like vegetables) to decrease in addition the level
  3. more in the morning, when your body needs energy for the day, less at lunch and nearly nothing in the evening. Otherwise your blood glucose is in a “red area” over the night.

Protein

Now you know, that goods with protein have no impact and are important to build muscles. You can, maybe in the evening, choose some eggs with vegetables or chicken with only one slice of bread. Please search for additional goods in your reach with high protein share. Maybe you find some additional options like soya-based products to get.

Vegetables

Vegetables are the best food ever. I´m not aware, what kind of vegetables are available for you. But if there are some on hand, eat them raw or, perfect alternative to substitute carbohydrates, make a hot soup out of it. Best to fill up with low energy, perfect to slim down.

Only one important point. Some vegetables have also a high share of carbohydrates (corn, beans). Please check it first, that you not select the “false” one. If you need help, no prob, for nearly every food you are able to "google" the contained elements.

 

Fruits

All fruits contain a lot of sugar. Be aware that in fruits is fructose, what has the same effect than glucose. So, take only one or maximal two pieces of fruits a day and replace it better by vegetables.

 

Goods in your reach

From my perspective a perfect meal in the morning is porridge out of oats (max. 50 gram per portion). Best in combination with milk or natural yoghurt. In every case without additional ingredients like sugar or fruits. Maybe you could use a little bit honey or jam to sweeten it soft.

 

Walk your diabetes away

No joke, you can flee from Diabetes. Official studies show that up to 90% of all type 2 dabetics could be healed if they want. Important is to start as early as you can to fight against. The longer you wait, the less is your chance. Take the chance and start now!

 

Agility

Every physical step in your life burns energy. Every step burns blood glucose. Frankly spoken, you can walk your diabetes away. Every human being was created to walk not to sit, otherwise we should have shorter legs. Clearly, it`s easier to sit down, but we`re created to stand up, to walk and at least to go ahead. Go for a walk as often as you can. Go for a walk after every hot meal for minimum 20 minutes with a high intensity. This will lower blood glucose immediately. You cannot move this part of agility to a later point of time, because energy is still available after the meal. Otherwise, when you´re not walking, this energy drives your blood glucose level up.

 

Sports

I`m over 50 years old, so allow me to tell you how you heal your diabetes with sports. I had very high blood pressure when I was younger. Confronted with a risk for a potential stroke when I was in the middle of my thirties. I began to run every day for 30 minutes. When I ran my first time over 10 km`s, I need 1 hour and 22 minutes. In the meantime, I need even not 52 minutes for the same distance. My body weight decreased by 20 kilograms in three years and my blood pressure is so well, you can`t imagine. I can tell you, to pray for healing combined with sports every day is the real key. I use the time, when I´m running, to pray and to speak with our Lord. For me it`s quality time that strenghtens me on every level. Start to run every day for min. 30 minutes, that helps a lot, believe in me!

 

Lower your body weight

 

Slim down

Over 80% of all diabetics are medicine-free (e.g. Metformin) after lowering their weight by round about 7%. That means for you, that you have a realistic chance to be healed, when you lower your body weight by 5-7 kilograms. When you´re lowering your body weight, this means that you are shrinking your body volume and your insulin consumption in parallel in the same size. 7% percent less effort for your pancreas is a huge chance to recover.

 

Increase muscles

An additional chance for you is to increase the mass of your muscles. This helps a lot while you are doing nothing. Your muscles need energy all the time. Even if you relax. Having said that, you could highly benefit when you building up muscles. Every day in the morning 10 minutes with situps, squats and push-ups makes it happen after four weeks. Use the time after you stand up or directly after your breakfast.

In parallel, the muscle training revitalise the insulin sensitivity of your body. You can get back this needed feature of your body, after 6 to 8 weeks of muscle training. Do it consequently!

 

Summary

Diabetes is based on overlapping energy out of carbohydrates. Sugar is a dangerous nutrition for your metabolic system. The more carbohydrates you take, the more your pancreas will be stressed. The more stress your pancreas has, the more your body will be damaged over time. You could compensate that by medicine, but this will cost a high price.

So, turn around and do the following every day:

  1. avoid carbohydrates from drinks and sweets
  2. consume carbohydrates preferred in the morning
  3. do 10 minutes gymnastics after breakfast
  4. replace sources of carbohydrates as I wrote you for lunch
  5. go for an intensive walk for 20 minutes after your lunch
  6. run 30 minutes before your dinner
  7. avoid most of carbohydrates at dinner and eat not to late
  8. moderate drinking of alcohol is allowed, but not too much, otherwise it will impact your liver and your pancreas regeneration

In parallel:

  1. measure your blood glucose ever morning after you stand up, before breakfast
  2. measure your abdominal girth (belly circumference) exact on the height of your belly button once a week
  3. document all body values on a piece of paper for every month
  4. document in addition all your sports sessions in minutes for every day
  5. observe your success and development month by month!

Having in mind that your morning blood glucose value should be around 5,6 mmol/l. Measured after you stood up, before your first meal. Your target range two hours after the meal should be lower than 9,0. If you are higher, go for a strong walk for 20 minutes and measure again. So you could directly understand, how motion will impact your metabolic system. Please be aware that every measured blood glucose level higher than 11,1 mmol/l will start to destroy blood vessels and nerves.

The task is simple. Measure reliable, check values, react with motion and adequate nutrition. You will see, after your body weight is lowered or the muscles increased, the blood glucose will be definitely better than before. Your daily sports sessions will help you, believe me!
